A year or so ago, there was an old school for sale in Regina for $3.1 million.  I called and spoke to someone in Land Management and asked if the City would consider donating the land to our daycare.  The response was that daycares had been considered in the past but it was decided that the City would not donate any property for this purpose.

Fast forward a year.  September 1, 2016 – a CBC article states:

“Earlier this week, Regina City Council agreed to donate 1.1 hectares of park land that will be used for a Conexus credit union office building.”

So, wait a minute, they’ll donate land to a commercial bank but not to a daycare?

This City really needs to get its priorities straight and stop lining the pockets of all their rich, big-wig friends.
